You can have a positive and immediate impact on the life of a child in need.
Twenty percent of New York State’s children (855,305 children) live in poor families defined as income below 100% of the federal poverty level1.
Children in low income families and families living in poverty face increased challenges to their cognitive development and their ability learn, have difficulty accessing health care services and often suffer from increased behavioral, social and emotional problems.
With your generous support, ABCD will ensure that all eligible children:
- receive a comprehensive early childhood education preparing them for a lifetime of learning, including children with special needs;
- have access to comprehensive health care including physical health, mental health, nutrition and dental health;
- spend their days in a secure, nurturing and stimulating environment enabling their parents to work in fields, orchards, processing plants and other eligible employment venues.
